In other news, gloomday.com redesign is approaching completion. I just need to do some little fiddly stuff, pretty much, which I’m putting off, of course.
This took mmm… several hours. I tried shading it, but didn’t like how it looked. Personally, I think her chair looks comfy, even if the proportions are a bit weird. Watch me hate this in the morning.
I’ve been poking at doing the comic straight in Painter, but haven’t really liked how my tests have come out so far. I’m leaving the story alone atm. It’ll come to me when it’s ready.
EDIT: Fixed the angle of her head and neck cuz they were bugging me.
…And by quick, I mean that the hour and a half estimated time was partially spent tweaking brushes and colors, and redoing the coloring/details once at the beginning, when the brush I’d chosen was obviously wrong and it was too late to fix it. By quick I also mean it was a fairly painless process, which tends to be rare for me.
You get it here first:
I need to plan out (and restrain) my color use better ahead of time next time, but I think it came out pretty well anyway. Good learning experience. <pokes it>
