So I’ve been supposed to be making this little notepad-type book with fish on the cover. Unfortunately, the fish paper I had refused to crop to any nice composition for the size book it was, so I put it off forever. I tried making it work again the other day, with no more luck than I had the first billion times, so I said, “screw it,” and made my own, which is

Unfortunately, it’s gonna get cropped and possibly cut into two pieces when I make the book (depends on if I can find a way to bind it without destroying it). However! I did take a high-res scan, so at least I’ll have the memory.

I ended up making a 75%-sized color copy to use, so nothing got cropped and I still have the original, intact. The stitching on the front and back are what hold the layers of the cover together and bind the cover to the page block. It’s like perfect binding without the glue and board covers.
